How Our Oils Are Made:

All of our multi-purpose oils are sold in a 2oz (~60mL) glass dropper bottle and are made from an MCT oil base (20mL) with equivalent amounts of the other plant oils making up the remaining portion of the bottle. It works out to be roughly 5-6 mL of each of the other high quality oils, making up the remaining portion of the bottle. The only exception is our oils containing Babchi which must be diluted further because it is so strong. We then add in the essential oils according to the blend and, finally, the flowers.

Other Information:

Please shake this oil prior to each use. Emu oil has a tendency to separate out, both on its own, and from the other oils in this product, after sitting for some time. When left undisturbed, it ends up with two distinct layers, a stearin (bottom) and an olein (top) section. The bottom layer of emu oil has a slightly higher melting point, causing it to appear cloudy, almost giving it a semisolid appearance. The top layer has a lower melting point, hence its clear and liquidy appearance. It is also more dense than most other plant-based oils so it will end up settling to the bottom. This will especially be noticed when kept at lower temperatures, ie, density increases when temperature decreases due to the individual molecules crowding together. Because we purchase organic, unrefined emu oil, you are likely to see this occur in your gold oil. This is completely normal and is all a part of the normal chemistry of the emu oil. Prior to each use, please give the bottle a good shake to thoroughly mix all of the ingredients together. There are no chemical dispersal agents in this product, so we leave that part up to you.
