About Us

We love what we do

The soapmaking process is both an art and a science. It is a creative and fulfilling activity. We love creating beautiful, aromatic soap out of just a few raw materials.

Our working process

Once a new recipe has been created, whether it be soap, lip balm or a novel product, we usually craft it within a few days. We are constantly involved in research and the development of new products to bring to you, our Customers

About our online store

Risus suspendisse a orci penatibus a felis suscipit consectetur vestibulum sodales dui cum ultricies lacus interdum.

Plumera began as a Mom in her kitchen making soap for fun. She was health-conscious and wanted to know what was going into the products that she and her family were using everyday. She also had an extensive background in science, so the process of saponification was quite a fascinating creative outlet. Once she got started, it became a great hobby and it made gift-giving holidays easy and friends and family looked forward to their annual "Holiday soap gifts" . It grew into an Etsy store and now, here we are. Since its inception, Plumera has continued the tradition of all handmade products, always in small batches. This allows us to provide rigorous quality-control procedures and we are able to easily address any problems if they arise, so one bad apple literally doesn't spoil the whole bunch. When you receive your product, we know you are going to love it just as much as we do!

Design & development process

We handcraft soap using a method known as "cold process". It is the way people made soap long ago. This process involves the saponification of oils via the addition of lye, i.e., sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide. We then mix natural, plant and/or mineral based additives and coloring agents and make them beautiful.
